Catriona Hamilton for Hawick and Denholm.

Born, brought up, and living in the Scottish Borders, Catriona Hamilton has been a family carer for over two decades and has been a committee member of Border Greens since 2014.
Cat is a Forest School Leader, she is an active member of her community volunteering within local sustainability groups, and on the committee of a national organ transplant charity.
She is passionate about us all ‘doing our wee bit’ to try to mitigate the impacts of the climate crisis, supporting local business and local food production.
She strongly believes in transparency in local government, that it is essential to include local folk in decision making on issues that directly effect them, their communities, and their environment.
If elected, Cat would draw on her own personal experience to be a voice for those who cannot be heard and who feel they don’t have a voice; striving for better addiction support, improved mental health services, in particular CAMHS, childrens services and improved support in education for our kids with additional support needs.
She vows to work collaboratively with other councillors to help make our region a fairer, greener, better Borders.
