Catriona was born and raised in Peebles, where her two sons have also grown up.
She is a family carer and a Forest School project leader, working mainly with children and adolescents for Community Interest Company Nature Unlimited in the Borders.She has been a trustee and a committee member for several charities providing support, fundraising and creating awareness.
Politically active since joining her local peace group at 17, she has lost count of how many rallies and anti-war protests she has been on. She supports shopping locally,sustainable & renewable energy and is strongly opposed to fracking firmly believing fossil fuels should stay in the ground.
Joining the Scottish Greens in 2014, now standing in her own ward of Tweeddale West Catriona says she ‘wants to help the people of Tweeddale to be more actively involved in the local government decision making that affects our lives and the area we live in’
