Scottish Borders Council elections take place on Thursday 6 May 2027. Every seat on the council is up for election, across the Borders’ 11 wards.
Since 2022 the council has been run by a Conservative and Independent administration. Green councillors would bring a different set of priorities: buses run for passengers, homes for local people, fair treatment for rural communities, and honest consultation.
Who can vote
In Scottish council elections you can vote if you are 16 or over, live here and are registered, including many people who are not British citizens. Register to vote online. It takes about five minutes.
