Scottish Green Party Borders Branch
Holyrood 2021 Campaign.
Holyrood elections will take place once again in May 2021.
The last election took place in 2016 and saw six Scottish Green MSPs elected across Scotland – however in South Scotland we fell just a few thousand votes short of electing a Scottish Green MSP for our own region.
We are aiming to put this right in May.
The Scottish Borders Branch needs your help.
The Holyrood election is just weeks away and we have a great chance of electing Green MSP candidates in the Scottish Borders and South Scotland.
A regular monthly donation to the branch can make a huge difference and will help us deliver a record-breaking result by sending Laura Moodie, Barbra Harvie and Dominic Ashmole to represent South Scotland in Holyrood.
Every pound you can afford to give us goes directly towards
• Reaching more voters in the Scottish Borders who just need one more nudge to go Green
• Funding a Campaign Support Officer for the region
• Printing and distributing campaign material
• Electing more Green MSPs to Scottish Parliament in 2021
The Scottish Greens are a people-powered party. All of our campaigning is made possible thanks to support from people like you. We have no corporate backers, but we have something far more important: you and thousands of other passionate supporters who are committed to saving the planet and creating a brighter future for Scotland. Together we can’t be stopped!
As a campaign sponsor, you will be invited to local events and we will stay in touch with updates on how the campaign is going. We need Greens in Parliament more than ever before and you can make this happen.
The Greens in the Scottish Borders can win but we can’t do this without you.
Barbra Harvie and Charles Strang
Co-convenors, Scottish Borders Greens

Our branch is today (Monday 22nd February) launching a crowdfunder appeal to support Barbra and Dominic’s constituency campaigns.
Our branch secretary Tim Clancy will be undertaking a three day 100 kilometre walk from the Scotland/England border at Coldstream to the Scottish Parliament in Edinburgh (or walking 100km in his home area if the current lockdown restrictions are still in place in a month’s time) to help raise funds for the constituency campaigns. You can access the crowdfunder appeal at Go Fund Me
Any help you can offer the upcoming campaigns will be most welcome, whether it is a donation to the crowdfunder or joining one of our teams who hope to be distributing election campaign leaflets in the coming weeks.
